Background
The Gaiety has been a key part of Ayr Town Centre since 1902 and is home to many a stage legend who considers the beautifully intimate and traditional auditorium their favourite venue.
Ayr Gaiety Partnership (AGP) owns and runs the iconic venue. Its mission is to increase wellbeing through the arts. AGP’s core belief is that everyone has a right to a cultural life – and that the arts can transform individuals and communities.
The Gaiety welcomes over 65,000 people annually and partners with local organisations to put culture and inclusion at the heart of local regeneration and community health and wellbeing.
Situation
Ayr Gaiety Partnership approached Key Digital as they needed to replace their multifunction print device due to the existing supplier’s contract coming to an end.
The device had been in place for some time and was beginning to show signs of wear. When approached with a quotation by the existing supplier, AGP’s CEO was prompted to explore additional quotes.
Sustainability was a key factor in the decision-making process, due to a big push to reduce energy consumption across the organisation, and the ability to print banners from the machine would be a nice feature.
Solution
Key Digital put forward a device from Epson’s Heat-Free range to align with Ayr Gaiety Partnership’s drive to reduce energy consumption.
This modern-day technology enables the organisation to print, copy, and scan documents efficiently, while reducing energy consumption and waste.
The device also automatically monitors meter readings and consumable levels, ensuring that Key Digital’s automated ordering system delivers supplies before they are depleted.
Key Digital’s solution also features banner printing, available from the device’s bypass tray. This means that AGP can print posters, long banners and custom-sized media.
